Theorius Robison

Theorius Robison may be only 16 years old, but he has already established himself as a powerhouse wrestler who is known on a national level.  His mother’s side of the family has a history of wrestling, which was what got him started in the sport when he was just four years old.  He is now a sophomore at Pomona High School and training with the Sons of Thunder Academy in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Over his past wrestling seasons Theorius has achieved outstanding success, and he hopes to continue that success this year.  For RMN events alone he has won a number of tournaments multiple times, including Rocky Mountain Nationals, Monster Match Nationals, Wild West Championships, Reno Worlds, and Who’s Bad? National Classic.  He has won the RMN Triple Crown and Tri State Belt a few times each as well.  Additionally, Theorius is a 10-time state champion and holder of 43 national titles.  This year, Theorius is aiming to win the state title again and also to make the world team for Greco Nationals.  After he graduates from high school, he would like to wrestle for a Division 1 college.

When asked who he is going after this season, Theorius simply replied, “Everyone!”  He is always striving to be the best, and he looks up to Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Burroughs as a hero.  Jordan won an Olympic gold medal for Freestyle Wrestling in 2012, and has a unique style that Theorius admires.  Theorius’s competitive spirit is also what keeps him going to RMN events.  He said that “the toughest guys in the country” go to these events, making them great opportunities for him to see how he ranks against other high-level wrestlers.  Many of RMN’s events are also in Colorado, which makes them convenient for Theorius to attend as well.  He will certainly be a wrestler to watch out for at this year’s tournaments!
