Tournament Host

Tournament Host Application

Fall tournament applications must be submitted by September 1st. Spring tournament applications must be submitted by January 1st. The fall season will run from October 1stthrough October 31st. The spring season will run from March 1st through April 30th. This application must be submitted to the regional director.

Hosting a tournament- The regional director determines who can host a season tournament. Tournaments should be spread out geographically. An application must be sent to the region director. Tournaments should rotate each year if more clubs desire to host than dates exist.

The host club must be able to hold 4 full mats, seat 500 people and provide the table help and support staff to run the tournament. The region will provide flip charts, clocks, referee gear and computer and software equipment. A tournament can be split between two host teams during one week if both teams agree and neither can provide the facilities to host on their own. These joint host teams should be in different geographical areas within the region.

The costs associated with running a tournament is paid by the host club. $2.00 for every kid registered is to be paid to the region.

Each tournament host should provide a tournament manager, head referee, head pairing official, announcer, and head security.

Competitive and Developmental

(Competitive tournaments are double elimination. Developmental are round robin tournaments with the focus on getting as many matches as possible Pod Style Tournament.)
